Description: The end of a heavy lift and transport operation as a 480 ton spare stator rests on it its foundation. The stator is being stored at the CME facility for Keyspan as part of an emergency response plan for the Raven’s Wood plant in Astoria, NY. Should it ever be required, CME can quickly deliver the unit to the plant by barge, bypassing the congested highways and bridges and reducing downtime for the plant.
