Description: CME crew lifting a 160 ton transformer off a specialized rail car to a barge for delivery to a project site.
Location: CME Marine Terminal, Elizabeth NJ
Comments: When your oversized project cargo needs to move through the Port of New Jersey without delay, CME’s Marine Terminal is your solution. Our terminal has direct rail access to and from the Arthur Kill Waterway and three rail spurs connecting directly to the chemical coast mainline railroad. If you have a delay to your delivery schedule, CME can store your cargo either on a rail car or on our dock until your schedule opens or your car arrives. CME maintains a crew of riggers, stevedores, cutters and welders and a host of weight handling equipment and rigging. We own and operate our rail engine and work closely with CSX, NS and Conrail to ensure your cargo gets moving down the track to it final destination.
